So Far So Good!

A few weeks ago, we made the long drive back to Denmark in a rather large van to pick up all my furnitures and boxes so that they could finally be joined with Vincents and united in our home here in Berlin. It feels good to have everything at the same place and although some things are still unfinished (like finding out how to store all our books), the additional room that was empty when I moved in finally looks like home.

Now I will be able to enjoy the increasingly cold fall, from my comfy chair reading a good book with a cup of coffee.

Maries Home!

Marie was so kind to let me stay at her place, while I was visiting London and she herself Berlin. A really nice spot in my old neighborhood right at the canal with thousands of plants both inside and outside and the sound of swans who woke me up during the night.

Barbican!

The other day when I was trying to find my way to the gallery at the Barbican Center, I completely lost track of time while running around taking photographs amid the amazing architecture of Barbican. It was somehow like being send back to 70's Russia with it's grey and brutalist style. A little island in the middle of London that almost seemed to be without human presence.

I can almost not believe that I spend three years in London without ever visiting it. I went there a couple of times at night for concerts but never to see the architecture. I am glad it finally happened.

A Morning Walk!

This morning before I had to catch my flight we had time to go for a walk in the rain, enjoy a good coffee at Roamers and all the many fall colors the town has to offer at the moment.

Fall Food!

Mushrooms in all varieties are currently in season, and even though our trips to the forest has not been very fruitful in this matter, we have not refrained from making mushroom dishes. Luckily they are also for sale.

We recently tried this great mushroom dish with chanterelles, that is indeed a real comforting and rich fall-dish. I highly recommend that you try it yourself, it is pretty simple and quick. I wanted to put a link to where I originally found the recipe. Since the blog seems to be closed down now I have included the recipe (or how I remember it) here among my own recipes.
