Before The Dark!

Spend this evening with Vincent watching the sunset at Tempelhof airport. Where we could see all the high points of Berlin.

Sunday at Lunapark!

Last spring me and Simon jumped the fence at the old abandoned "Plänterwald" Amusement park next to Treptower park, but after seeing a watchdog we didn't stay there so long.

But today I went in there with Elisabeth without trespassing, because this weekend it was open to everyone. Bratwurst, Cotton candy, Magic Tricks, Cinema and Carousels, were some of the things there and it almost resembled a real amusement park. Maybe except the piles of junk lying around everywhere.
There was a long line outside, but we got in very quickly, and it was nice to go in there and get close to everything, without the fear of being bitten by a mad watchdog.

Facebook, Notebook!

I saw this book in a store yesterday, and I think it is very cute.

Ship O' Folls!

One of my favorite installation artist, Janet Cardiff, is in Berlin these days. Her and her Partner has made a old ship into a playground were all your senses are included. Light was changing, sound from everywhere, self playing instruments, smoke and very small people in boxes, which was what I liked the most. I could imagine that it would be quite fun to go there as a child.

And Turn The White Snow Red As Strawberries In The Summertime...

Yesterday I was at the Fleet Foxes concert, which I had been looking forward to for quite some time. Due to technical problems, we waited almost 1 1/2 hour before the show started, and the long wait made me tired and annoyed. But after playing for 2 minutes I completely forgot about my tired legs and feet and just wanted to dance all though the concert that I wished would never stop.
The sound was a little of from time to time, due to the technical problems and sometime you could feel them struggling, but since I already know all the songs it was okay, and the rest of the audience didn't seem to mind either.
Instead of posting pictures from the concert I will instead post some images about was was going through my head doing.

Sich zu Freuen!

2 months ago I took one look at this guy, and said to my self. "He looks like someone who would make the kind of music that I like!"
And I was right.
He is giving a concert in Berlin at end of June and I've been debating with myself whether or not to go, as I will have to leave a couple of days warm up at Roskilde out, to stay for this concert. But after last nights great concert I had to get a ticket, which means that I will almost go straight from this concert to the Roskilde festival. I can't wait.

A Beautiful Set!

Sometimes when I drive around on my bike, I can't help but thinking that the city looks more like a painted background on a movie set rather than a real city, especially now where the spring is here. I think it is because the tiles and walls on the houses are made with some kind of shadoweffect. No matter if it's real or fake it is one of the things I like most about Berlin.

Gold In The Air of Summer!

Since I have my birthday in two weeks, I thought it might be a good idea to spend the last money I got for Christmas. And today I found these beautiful earrings, that will for sure become new favorites, so I am happy I waited.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

So the past couple of weeks I've been sewing and knitting like crazy. I brought all this old fabric from Denmark, thinking that I would stay in Berlin over the summer and have enough time to use the fabric, but now I fell like I don't want to take it back to Denmark unless it is in the form of something wearable. On top of that I went though a box full of summer clothes that I had put away for the winter and found some dresses that I decided to resew because I didn't really used them as they were. Now I almost have a brand new wardrobe.

Today I finished this one!

Bald Sommer!

Today I spent all day like this, somewhere east of Berlin in the woods.

Der Himmel über Berlin!

For the past couple of weeks, the weather has been really shifting. One minute the sun is shining, next minute the sky opens, and it pours down. Last Thursday there was a beautiful rainbow right outside my window. And today It was there again, at the exact same spot, just as I was about to leave.
Driving across the Warschauer Brücke, I had to stop for a second to take these pictures, cause on one side of the brigde it was totally dark with a rainbow, and the other side was so colorful with light and dark clouds divided by the blue sky.

Follow The Smell of Coffee!

Yesterday I was in a part of Berlin yet unknown to me. The weather was really nice and the temperature around 27, so Vincent and I went picnicking after I finished work. We went to one of his favorite places, along side a river that used to be the border between east and west. To get there we rode our bikes through an industrial area that had the sweet scent of new grind coffee hanging in the air. For a minute I though that this was a weird place to camp but after it all of a sudden turned into beautiful nature, so nice and peaceful.
We stayed there until the sun went down and it got cold and full of mosquitoes. Then we went back once again through the smell of coffee.

Waiting For That One Clear Moment!

After the party night I had last night it was nice to spend Saturday evening in the company of Thomas Dybdahl, who were much more mellow, but still managed to put on a good party.
It was the first time I saw him live, and he didn't disappoint me. If a concert is really good, I always feel a little like being in love, and this was one of these concerts.

The only thing that was kind of a shame was that he didn't play Dreamweaver, which has become one of the song that I associate with my time in Berlin, and is on of the songs that made me want to learn the harmonica.
